Hey I've been doing music for about six years. I feel like I honed my craft well enough to try to gain fans. At first i was looking for to trying to sign to a local label (Memphis) but i realize that my music has its own lane. I just started a new career in trucking and wanted to try to release a full length project. Now and days i know i got to build a buzz so i want to release a mixtape first. I already got songwriters rights and my publisher rights(i think thats right) for my publishing. Want to get my LLC for a record and use cd baby for my digital distribution. To sum it all up i figure out i need a budget of 5k. Got some product and got a plan but i wanted to hear any advice or/and tips on people that did/doing self releases/indie labels.
