Is it legal to use the same chords progression?

no issues usually
- it is impossible to copyright or patent a chord progression
- otherwise after the first works were created no-one else could ever write another piece of music

similarly it is impossible to copyright or patent a specific rhythm
- most pop type drum patterns have been used over and over and over, so difficult for anyone to claim a copyright in them
- even Bernard Purdie cannot copyright or otherwise register the Purdie shuffle
- it is possible to copyright a collection of rhythms played as a specific sequence on a single instrument or collection of instruments, but that is a different issue and requires full notation of the intent including dynamics and other articulations
