Internships

I had a friend that had an internship with the Marley family for a few years. He worked on his album but it didn't blow. He also had a chance to intern for Timbaland but he wanted to record his album. My boy was a rapper and recording engineer.

Im going to make 4 month internship in.... Theatre with musicals as technician/organisator. I really belive that it gonna help me to improve my concerts and give me more knowledge about organising work and concerts.

Well I hope everything works out for you.

Don't waste your money on going to school for audio tech. Go straight for internship... you can learn everything you need to know w/o wasting money on the degree. Most engineers never went to school for recording degrees. Job outlook for "recording industry" is not stellar. Get an accounting or engineering degree in case the music plan doesnt work out. My 2 cents.

That is what many are advising. Make contingency plans just in case.

It's just a pity that even with these internships and specialist schools there are very few prospects in the recording industry at the moment.
