How do you get "solicited" to send a demo to a Record Label?

"...will not accept unsolicited demos.."

seems to be on every record label website.

How do you get solicited?
im just 16 so im kinda new to this legal/copyright shit.

solicit meaning to seek out, to obtain

so all theyre saying is theyre not accepting music that they didnt ask you for

now how to get a label to ASK to hear your stuff
make a name for yourself

maybe working with another artist and releasing projects/mixtapes that take the world by storm (guccimane/shawty redd)

remixing songs and getting alot of love on blogs (cookin soul)

or beasting at beat battles and live events (apple juice kid)


or get intouch with some A&R people at record labels
theyre always looking for the next big song

the reason the websites say that is because usually
some one will send in a demo tape to lets say def jam records
then a year later a rick ross song comes out using the same sample in the beat

and the producer goes YO YOU STOLE MY BEAT!!! IM SUING

so they put that there to avoid morons like that.
 
simply unsolicited just means unexpected, they don't want unexpected submissions. try building a relationship with someone with the label.
