I am a upcoming hiphop producer, and I am starting to take my music more serious. I just wanted ask yall how does getting paid from artist/record label work.
ex:royalties and advances
producers get paid by getting places (getting their music brought)
by who you may ask???
1.music supervisors for (films,commercials,tv,video games,jingles)
2.indie artists
3.indie labels
4.major artists
5.major labels
6.developing their own artists and selling the music through indie distributing companies like CDbaby/Tunecore or through distribution deals with indie label/major labels
7.selling music online like soundclick or through their own site
8.selling drumkits/soundpacks
9.affliate marketing through their site
10.selling how to information to other producers
11.adsense
there are other ways but I can't remember them right now
