How do I get my album reviewed by blogs

Most blogs and music sites have the submission details available right there. Have a look.
You can hire a publicist, but it is not an inexpensive venture.

Congrats on your release, but please know that Pitchfork caters to hipsters.
they review rap and r&b too

Even though my album is self-released, it's available everywhere. And I did message someone to review it. But I don't know if or when they will

It's really difficult. I can imagine its much easier if you have someone recommending you.
But like someone said, pitchfork and a lot of these sites are for hipsters (hipsters can like hip hop too) which for me turns me off anyway.
I hate how you have to try hard to be 'cool' to fit in and be accepted.

It's so frustrating. It feels like the fucking hunger games with regards to getting my music heard. I feel if blogs actually took the time to listen to my album (in the same way they would for a bigger artist's album) they would probably enjoy this album.

The one you can afford. We're talking a few hundred dollars to a few thousand or more per week, for a minimum 3-month contract.
