Hey, I'm currently working on a 'How Deep Is Your Love' electro house remix and have begun to consider what rights I have in terms of distributing it due to the obvious copyright issues. My main goal would be to have it released on a label and I was hoping to just get vocals recorded for it myself rather than use the original's, meaning everything in the track would be completely originally recorded/composed. Would recording my own vocals for it avoid any copyright issues or would I still have issues in terms of reusing the lyrics? And would I be able to call it a remix if everything was completely original or could I call it my own track (of the same name as the original).
