Getting sample clearance from companies that no longer exist

Ok so I am in the process of clearing a sample that I used in one of my recent songs:

Song 2, "Do What You Want To Do" is the song that i sampled (notice it has * next to song title)

At first, I tried getting in contact with the publisher Groovesville Music but soon realized they published all of the songs except the 2nd song hence the *.

I looked up Great Lakes Productions Inc with no luck (results did not include anything music related)

I looked up ABC Records Inc (All research states that this company is "defunkt")

The only thing I can think of is to try to get in contact with Ron Banks' (Producer of the song) family. But that was just a thought.

I have tried finding forums/websites that tackle this issue with no luck

ANY HELP/INPUT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED, THANKS!

Great flip, cool beat.

I believe ABC's catalogue is now controlled by UMG (Universal). I'd start there.
