Etiquette for Sending Music

Great thread, but I had one question that was not answered yet. I only have interest in selling beats exclusively really, so when sending beats to artists, do you usually shop out different beats to different artists or just what you believe to be your top beats at the time?

I am just wondering this because say if I send out 2 e-mails to two different artists and the both have interest in the same beat would you just do a first come first serve sort of thing?

Thanks,
John

Tnx alot, great info.

Got one question:

Do you have to clear the samples before you send beats, or is this handled by the label and you just have to include information about the samples you used?

Our number one tip:

Emails are easily ignored. Phonecalls are less easily ignored. If you know the name of the person you want to hear your music, ring them up and have a brief chat. They'll remember you much more than anyone else as you made an effort to call them and not just send out a blanket email.
