Death of the 808s?

I just want to know since the emergence of songs like "BMF" & "Hard in the Paint", the trap/808 sound has totally saturated the airwaves.. Now I am a BIG fan of the sound and hearing the new ways ppl can flip it, alter and expand on it, etc.. But does anyone see an end of this epic run coming to a halt anytime soon, or will it just continue full steam ahead..? Thoughts?

No not really, 808's have been here since Electronic music started. Its not going anywhere, maybe less popular. But its not going to die.

I think that distorted 808 sound might fade but the 808 will still be used just in a different way.

I don't think the 808's will die but like any product it has a time where its success in the music industry rises until it slopes down a little and after all the fuzz with it has gone, it hits a plateau and it stays there. That's what it's gonna happen with the 808's in my oprinion.
