Costs to produce a demo e.p.???

Guys i'm thinking bout start working on my debut project, a free e.p. 6-8 songs, how much money would i need to record, get it mixed mastered. I want studio and production quality more like the run the jewel tapes or acid rap, i won't compromise with the sound quality.

depends on a lot of things. What gear do you already have and what steps are you able to do yourself? (Compose, mix?)

whatever number you get quoted triple it - that will reflect the real costs of multiple takes per session/song/track/instrument/vocal
