Contract for Hiring a Musician

Im a producer, and I have instrumentals that I'm trying to get redone, with live recording on them. When hiring a musician to record, live, some of the parts of your instrumental, what type of contract should you give the musician? I want to retain full credit and rights for everything...

any help appreciated, thanks
 
A simple agreement outlining the terms you mentioned, and whatever payment will be rendered for services should be fine. Make sure to include or separately get a "performance release," and include the phrase "work for hire" in all paperwork, as this means that you retain all rights and that the one-time fee covers all/total compensation...
