So I was just going around and looking at different venues. I always thought in order to get a gig, you’d have to personally be close to the owner of the venue. I had no idea until now all you need to do is email a press kit. What I wanted to do now was look for some artist that wanted to do shows. I really wanted to gain some experience in booking so it would be another source of income for my label when I start it. Any ideas on what I can say to a potential artist, especially when I’m in another state and have no experience?
