Anyone have a logo for their business

I am stuck. I have one logo for my production name and the other for production company. My friend did both and is a great graphic artist. I'm not getting the response from people about them. They have been so so. I thought about asking my friend to create two new ones, but he has been acting weird. I get the impression he is tired of doing them. So I thought about shelling out $300 to get a new one for my production name. My friend gave me a great deal on the logo's, but I'm not going to beg him to do it. So I'm thinking of hiring a company online that does 6 or 8 different designs and doing it that way. They do great work from what I see and their email communication is great! Any opinions?

Hard to say without seeing what you have already. And-- Does it matter if reaction is "so so?" Your logo is not necessarily going to draw in customers as it would for other products; the music is the thing.
