I used to do this interactive thing with people when I was doing poetry. I would tell them to give me three things (anything) and I had to integrate those three things into a poem. I thought it was both a great way to master my craft as well as challenge me into breaking down barriers I didn't know I had.
So...
I'm looking for ideas for some new beats.
I've been doing shouts to all my friends on throwing me some ideas on what kind of content they wanna hear in a beat.
Here's where I want to focus:
1/ The more creative the better
2/ Not looking to do type beats
3/ Abstract Themes (i.e. "sound of rain")
4/ Things others haven't really considered actually doing
I'll be doing breakdowns and tuning people in on the play-by-play.
Here's how it works:
1. Give me 3 things. Anything (i.e. hotdogs, Timbuktu, rollercoasters) -----> { Merry-Go-Round - YouTube }
2. Give me a musical focus. (Aggressive, Smooth, Trippy, etc.)
3. I will take these three things and incorporate them into the focus.
Also, if anyone wants to join in on this shoot me a message.
