Soundcloud link problem

Deezel

^How do I change ths name
Everytime I post a embedded player in this forum to get feedback, it keeps saying that the track is not available. A few things you should know:
-I set the track to private on my SC
-Yes, I did copy the special Secret link to the forums
-Even though the player says the track is unavailable, the link under it takes you right to the track and still plays.

Why does this keep happening and how do I fix this?

Here is an example...

Edit:
Just in case I wasn't clear the first time, I meant when I click play it says the track is not available

ok

this fragment in the soundcloud url troubles me as it adds another layer of folder depth which is not accounted for in the soundcloud api

/ironman/s-mrSvF

i.e. is it truly

/ironman/s-mrSvF

or should it be something like

/ironman-s-mrSvF or
/ironman_s-mrSvF or
/ironman~s-mrSvF

I'll check it, but I copied/pasted it straight from the "Share" tab in soundcloud.

Edit: Checked it & that's exactly how it's spelled on Soundcloud with all backslashes. Here's how their links are formatted...

soundcloud.com/Username/Trackname/Secret link code

small point but those are forward slashes; this is a backslash: \

ok, something new everyday

trying just linking without the secret link code, like so

[soundcloud]https://soundcloud.com/deeezel/ironman[/soundcloud]

That didn't work. The link you posted was for Public tracks only. I set mine to Private because it's not finished yet, but that's why the "/s-mrSvF" is there.

And yeah, I had a brainfart with that whole slash/backslash thing.

Edit: Well, that didn't work. Is there any way to embed different players or is Soundcloud the only accepted one here?

you could try a video embed

and your file link from divshare actually needs an mp3 file type on the end (.mp3) for the mp3 tags to work

other than that soundcloud and mp3s are it
