Signiture help plz!!

This may sound ultra dumb but...

How can i get a gif in my signiture?

I have worked out how to get a picture to appear, i just cant get the picture i want to appear, it just comes up with a broken pic icon.

The gif i wanna use is located in my geocities webspace (hey, it's free, you can't complain at free! ), but i've heard that they don't like outside linking or something. Is there another free site that lets you upload pics for signitures and stuff like that?

geocities doesn't allow remote linking of images that's why... I think there are some other conversations about this in this forum ("this site")

make sure your signature image's height is not over 60 pixels, and that the file size is less than 30 kilobytes

just put the link to the jpg or teh gif file, between the IMG tags that it . to put the pic in ur'e signature, jsut paste the link between the IMG tags, like

[.img] link [./img]
remove the dots.
