How do I post pics???

Hey'all!

I've been trying to post pics at the threads, I have'em in my computer but I have no clue as how to even start the damn thing :p Someone once told me about it but I missed the thread, would any of u explain in easy steps again?

alex u need to host the pics on a site and then u can use the img and /img tags arround the web address,

Heh... thanks for coming Tricky, but I'm a little (no, a lot actually) stupid in this department. I have a site, OK, but then what? COnsidering I'm zero IQ about posting, I need to know the steps to follow, 101 ... :p :p :p Sorry!
 
ah ok its easy
first if u have a website then upload ur images onto it.
then u can just add the link to ur pic like this

http://www.beingsmart.com/pictures/trickmaster.jpg

and to get the img to be viewed u need to use the img tag u can read up on it by checking the FAQ's and then once u do it the right way the above link would look like this
trickmaster.jpg

This is what you do (steps) :
1) Find the pic.
2) Make sure it is a jpg, pcx or gif to save space (convert)
3) Resize it to something like 320*240
4) Post it to a pix host DB (e.g http://b.postmypic.com/b.nsf/Post )
5) Rightclick & Copy shortcut
5) Edit tread and type [ img]-paste address of pic, ref. 4- [ /img]
6) Done :D

hey distinctive, i cant get the post my pic site to work. i browse and click on the pic and hit upload then the screens keep jumping back and forth between accessing and the homepage. is there anyone else who can host my pics. ive got two one jpg the other is gif. any help would be cool. hey check out tricky! what a stud mack!
 
tulip, its because you are trying to host it from Geocities...

yes i know but the post my pic site is messed up. as soon as it's working, i understand how to get them on there. thanks mano
 
yep geocities.. it only works if we open a geocities site behind (in another window) so i guess it confused you whether it was working or not.

i think Distinctive got a "final guide to post pics" :)
 
hey tricky or mano im confused again. ok, mano i go to the http://www.postmypic.com site but the site seems to be messed up. it wont stop flipping between the two pages. now am i missing something?? i have the jpeg and gif on my hard drive but i cant upload to there site. is it me?
 
man its you... i just went there and i've uploaded a picture.. then they displayed an http:// address...

copy and paste this address in between the IMG tags as Distinctive explained

voila

it works
