Cubase 7 looks like that too.. Dunno if that really changed in the few previous versions

Hmm, true. I just quickly looked at some screenshots of it and thought the basic theme is darker than the previous ones...but on further inspection, it's pretty much the same.

I'm teaching myself Cubase by using the trial and I can tell it looks exactly like that. Also worth noting is that I haven't used Cubase before so I don't know if there's any difference, and looking at the pictures doesn't tell me much.

Yeah, I would say it's one of the dark and gloomy post SX3 versions of Cubase.
