Vst similar to Redrum with 808s? Thx

I've been using Reason 4 for about 2 years, I love redrum, simply because it simplified my drum programming, I don't have to play any drums on my keyboard, I simply assign drum sounds on redrum and it automatically plays them and on time! Now I feel sort of maxed out with my Reason sounds and want to play with another variety of sounds that the world of vst's have to offer! I have plenty of vst synths but now i'm lacking a good software drum machine. I'm mostly using 808s and 909s. Some of my vsts have 808 sounds but I can't never seem to play them on time, that's y I want a vst that has 808s but also has the programmer like redrum. I downloaded 1 a while back i think it was adm but it only had like 5 or 6 sounds, maybe because it was a trial or something i don't know. Thanks

you basically want a step sequencer.

you can search on kvraudio.com for just step sequencers. http://www.kvraudio.com/get.php just select step sequencer and search.

also if you're into 808s and 909s you might want to check out the emulations by d16.

I forgot who it was, but somebody posted a reason refill for 808 sounds for redrum.

I think it was either Obi or morning_star so just search it. You can then rewire reason into your DAW.

If you don't want that, you COULD just purchase the basic edition of FL Studio ($60) it's basically a very limited FL studio that's used mainly as a drum machine. It has it's own VST plugin so you can just put that into your DAW.
