I've been using Sampletank and Miroslav Philharmonik in a lot of the records I produce, many of which have been on radio and in TV shows. There's a bundle available with those two plus three others right now for $200. Pretty good deal if you ask me Just thought I should share. Total Workstation 2

Why? What exactly is holding you back with 2-point-whatever? Hell, I'm still using the snot out of my Ensoniq SD1 and my Akai S2800. Those were both developed circa...1991?!?!! TWENTY YEARS OLD! That's WAY older than the current version of Sampletank and THEY still sound bad-ass.

Because I already have most of the sounds covered. I will eventually move on from the Motif XS to software but until then software that I demoed when I first started out on beats just doesn't cut it. Some of the sounds are nice but I can't justify it.

FYI, a lot of people forget that you can use Sampletank as a regular samper. You just have to edit your sounds in another program, but you can load anything into it. One of these days I will convert all my Akai floppies with all my drum sounds I've sampled..... one...of....these...days.

No it can't read Akai floppies, but you can load your own wav samples. Also for every 500 in the Total Workstation 2 Group Buy you can get your choice of a FREE Xpansion Tank 2 title to get even MORE sounds in the Group Buy!

AKsys will allow you to stick an Akai floppy into a PC and convert to WAV.
