problem with fl 7

I just acquired fl 7 and I was using fl 6 before. I have all my sample banks accessible in the sidebar. When I go to drag and drop the samples from the sidebar into battery 2 or 3 nothing happens. They don't appear in any cells as they would in fl 6. Anybody have the same problem or know how to fix it?
