Neptunes sound-LL Cool J's Luv U Better

Has anyone heard of LL Cool J's Luv U Better track? If you have, there is a delayed like synth sound that plays constantly in the background. It's a spacey like sound. Does anyone know if there's a malstrom patch for that sound?

I don't know of a mal patch for that synth on the Luv U Better track. I do know that it comes from the Mo' Phatt, as that was heavily used by the Neps in '02. Now that module went out of production a year back or so but you can get all the sounds from it in the form of the Proteus X from EMU. The Proteus X does not contain the Phatt library but it'll only set you back about fifty bucks.

me 3, I was going in reason eeing if i can find a pad, that sound slike it, or play it the same notes, kinda of close.

it's just a non stopping continusly pattern of notes, with a slow attack.

That song is crazy, though, 1 of my favorites of N.E.R.D of alltime.

found out it's a preset used, in the Triton, with a lot PHASING!

Thanks, main, sance, kojak, tmac, and others, I do have a triton reason refill, so I'll have to tweak with the triton refill to get that Luv You Better Sound. I think Neptunes also used it on "Excuse Me Miss Too". I really love that sound. I'm just curious to here what the sound sounds like on Reason 3.0

Yeah, they used it on Excuse Me Miss, Am I High, a few others. They stay using the same sound. I don't care, because they sound tight.
