Also, I would like to get a lot of effects and options to apply to my sounds.. Right now I'm thinking Reason.. any suggestions? By the way the motif es is craazy.. don't even get the original motif. Yamaha just came out with the MO-sequencer too. It has all of the same sounds as the motif es and all of the other options but I don't think it can sample. It also costs a lot less. Just some ideas. Thanks.
you can't go wrong with either one, but i will say this. with fl studio you will have to obtain some very good vst's and samples to go along with it, which isn't a bad thing. with reason you are pretty much set out of the box although you may want to get yourself some good drum sounds.
Do you remember when you fell in love with hip hop?

Thanks a lot! Yeah cubase le sucks but I'll save up for sx3. I just noticed that reason has a lot of nice plugins that come with the program and a lot of nice editing options. I usually don't even sequence in cubase anyways. I just bring the file over and do a little tweaking b/c I'm pretty good at mixing in my motif es. Thanks for the info though. I just gotta find some nice vst/vsti's and what not. Check out my beats and tell me what you think at www.soundclick.com/jyessmuzik Thanks again!
