How about the vengeance sample packs? A lot of people use those with great success.. also prime loops has some nice sounds

Getting a nice knock from a drum is more about mixing than it is the sample, you don't need anything amazing to get the job done.

It all comes from the origin of the samples you use, or the source of the samples i should say. Be careful with the samples you choose, cus alotta samples out there are over-compressed and distorted. Peep out the knockin drums i used on this vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HUprii7Wzd0

Getting a nice knock from a drum is more about mixing than it is the sample, you don't need anything amazing to get the job done.

i used the same old lex luger drum kit for months lol. just finally re-up'd and copped some new ish. keep in mind the luger drum kit only had like 8 or less samples of hi-hats, kicks, snares, etc. just gotta mix them mofos correctly. throw on some reverb or some eq. filter out the hi/low ends.
