Dimension has some serious strings and synths i also use hypersonic 2 on a regular basis. Seriously if you can't get high quailty full sounding tracks out of those programs then your not doing something right.

And this is coming from a guy who owns the roland fantom and has used a triton le regularly for over a year....

You have to tweak software more because most of the patches aren't loaded down with fx but once you tweak them they're serious....

and this whole FL sound quality is ridiculous the damn program bounces at 32 bit it has more headroom then a lot of sequencers....

im sorry but as an owner of Reason 3.0, VSTs such as hypersonic 2, plugsound, AND a yamaha motif rack ES i can tell you, theres NO EQUAL TO IT. theres better choices for synth patches...but if anyone is saying these (especially dimension) blow a motif rack es out the water they have never used one enough.

i would say the software that would give the Motif ES a run for its money would be something like Gigasampler or Kontakt with some good sample cds...of course by the time youve done this you couldve easily bought the motif es rack. The motif's acoustic patches are programmed extremely well and they sit great in a mix. if we're talking synths then thats different, i wouldnt "depend" on a rompler (hard or soft) for that sort of thing to begin with and VSTs such as Imposcar and the ARP2600 that specialize in synths are really really good. shyt ill probably put up a lil video showing off the sounds of the Motif ES and along with the vsts this weekend cuz i just got a new web cam.

If you cant afford the Motif ES rack, then id go with Plugsound pro for your bread and butter sounds and grab a couple synth VSTs like FM7 and Albino. Its good to have some hardware anyway because it takes the slack off the PC.

d mensah i think u are too right .... I actually never gave reasons a second thought because i couldnt figure out how to rewire it into logic pro but u know what i met this kid yesterday that did his tracks with nothing but reasons and tweaked drums and midi controller and he simply floored me ....

I think im just gonna cop reasons 3.0 , plug sound pro and proteus 2000 and rock with my fantom and logic pro .. this constant search for sounds will officially come to an end after i aquire these joints..

YEP thatll work well. My partner and I mess with Reason 3.0 alot especially when a new Refill comes out. now as for the proteus 2000, in that case i would recommend the VST version over that. much cheaper to get expansions for it, i actually have the proteus LE thing becuase it came with my xboard. its not bad.

I have a Motif Rack Es and Logic Pro. The Motif Rack Es is not seeing Logic Pro and it's included sampled instruments, synths, FX etc. Not even close. If you listen to the demo tunes that come with Logic Pro or Logic Express, that's all the proof you need as to the extreme quality and ability of Logic. Not to say that the Motif Rack Es is not also the truth, it is great of course, but quality comes a whole lot easier in Logic than with the Motif Rack Es.

Logic has gone further to provide quality than anything else I've used. Not just the high quality FX, or high quality instruments, but a step further by providing hundreds of presets that will load up both instrument and FX together to create a certain sound. And FX presets at the mixer that will transform your mix with a single click. I didn't realize it when I bought Logic Pro, but it was exactly what I needed. I believe that Logic has taken away any excuse that I might have had about not being able to achieve a certain level of quality. Nothing left to wonder about but my own skills. I got everything else in one package. The only things I've added to Logic so far is a couple of Apple's Jampacks that are a collection of both instruments for Garageband/Logic and Apple loops. Also extremely high quality stuff.

Sorry, I don't work for them. I get hooked up by someone there from time to time though on some NFR stuff. I just like their stuff a lot and only "sing the praises" on their products that deservei t...not all of them do. But they are on a roll lately with Sonar, Project5, Dimension, and it looks like Rapture is another winner. rgc:audio was a good buy-out for them. Rene makes the best softsynths...
Let's be real...There is SEC College Football, and then there is all that weenie stuff everyone else around the country calls "college football"...
