Hey, i'm looking for flute sounds. i've checked east west symphonic orchestra at one friend's home but the flute sounds re too 'classic', don't need that. I read good words about "MOTU Ethno" instrument, and the price is pretty nice, taking into account that has 8gb library.

    any ideas? thnx.,

What up zil - I have Ethno. The sounds are very good and the interface is clean. I think that you'd find the flutes you are looking for in Ethno eazily. What kicks ass is that you can drag and drop the midi or audio into any sequencer track without having to keep Ethno on any track. This saves CPU.

One warning - Ethno comes with that fricken annoying USB i-lok key. You have to have this plugged into your computer or it will not work. Other than that *ish, it's good. Later...

Hi there, if you want the (current) hiphop flute sound used today, its a preset in Native Instruments FM7 Vst.

I use this a lot for my South style beats.. Also there is lots of whistles that sound a lot like lil jons.

    Just tryna help. Good luck!

There is 2 presets. One is called the classical flute

The second one is the best one of all - the Nother flute.

with the nother flute go to the "master" page of the program and turn the Effect off

If you also want, turn the tempo sync all the way down, or half way "this really depends on how you hear it"

    Hope it helped.
