I'm switching from Pro tools to logic, does anybody know if I will have to re-install Komplete 8 into VST/AU format??
I really don't want to sit through that monster install process again.

Usually it defaults to install VST, RTAS, & AU when you start install it, unless you specifically check that option off.
If it did install it... it might be in the folder Programs > Steinberg > Vstplugins. Or it could be in Programs > Vstplugins. I think that's the default location.

If it's not in there... just reinstall the VST. You don't actually need to reinstalled the large libraries. Kontakt will find those automatically.

Thanks dude,
I was invisioning another 12hr install.
Thank god!
Yeah, you shouldn’t need to reinstall them. When I got Ableton Live I had to go to the preferences and then there was a button that said ‚scan‘ — basically this scanned the plugins folder on my Mac (just had a look, seems like it’s in Library > Audio > Plugins).
So you shouldn’t even need to move them or something, just find a similar feature to this scan feature I had!
