Synthesizers Best Suited for FX/Transition Sounds?

Yo,

I know most synths can probably be used for most applications, but would anyone here be able to recommend those ''most known'' or ''programmed towards'' synths for creating funky special FX to use for song transitions?

Platinum sounds: Euphoria V1 - Intense buildups. At the moment they're having a 75% sale but $64 is still overpriced for 170 loops in my books.
I tend to use evolve and damage or Transfuser or something like dat and shift the pitch up.
Otherwise there's NI rise and hit but thats not exactly funky. Or Nexus2 fx expansion pack has a few.
