Nexus is great for dance. Komplete has WAY more sounds though and has authentic sounding instruments. If you are trying to do EDM stuff I would say nexus because out of the box it just sounds great for that, everything else I think komplete 8 will give you more versatility.

Komplete 8 of course bro...honestly nexus is just cute when compared to komplete. I have both, and nexus is great for its rich synths, and pads, great for dance record, drum n bass, and dub step....but if you're deciding between the two my vote goes for komplete 8

There is no comparison, Komplete 8 all the way, hell one of Reaktors Synths can do everything and more than Nexus and Reaktor is only 1 part of a huge collection.

That should be Komplete 8 Hands down.
Two things that annoy me are people who are positive out of ignorance, and people who are negative out of bitterness. People who are neither usually get along with me and agree with most of what I say. People who are one of the 2 think I'm the other.

i'm sorta doin the same thing as well but with reaper. i have a question tho, can komplete do that whole sub boom boom boom thing or do you need samples? i don't feel i need a lot of those instruments so i was thinking about nexus too, orchestra wise.

I have to agree with everyone. While I've heard tons of great things about Nexus, the bottom line with Nexus is that it's one plugin with sets of sounds you can buy, whereas Komplete is a library of different plugins of all types that you can play with and tweak. So yes, Komplete would hands down be the winner. However, if your PC is not incredibly fast, Nexus may be an option as it wouldn't waste as much CPU as some of Komplete's plugins can potentially do.
