    Mixers and Reason

Hey everyone, Quick question. I want to buy a Mixer For recording a band (Using 9 mics [Audix DP7 Drum mic kit - AT2020 - SM57]), and i want to record through reason 6. If i Buy a Usb Mixer Like a Mackie Pro FX22 will each of those channels be an individual input In Reason or any other Daw. Mainly because i really want to work with drums individually and in my own time. Cheers

This is not really my specialty but as far as I know, that Mixer doesn't have a converter.
You need a converter and phantom powered mic ins which an A/I usually provide.
You could go for something like a Focusrite Saffire Pro 40 and a midi controller with those faders and all on it.
    OR
A digital mixer will have converters turning analog into digital signals. Something like the Presonus Firestudio Studiolive. The 16.0.2 is the cheapest I can find.
Those digital mixers are able to send out midi to your DAW.
Sometimes , you do need an expansion card to hook it to your DAW. Like with the Tascam DM-3200.

Wouldn't be much of a point calling it an USB mixer if it didn't transfer audio through it as well, so yes, it does have a converter. However, like so many of the mixers of like this, it only does stereo output from the subgroups or the master track instead of separate tracks, so not really ideal for this purpose. The rest of the suggestions are on point. Something like the Yamaha 01x might also be worth consideration in the digital mixer category - they're pretty damn cheap these days, so the only worry would be making sure it still works with a modern setup, as it's getting a bit old. The Studiolive or the A&H Zed R16 would be ideal, but they're also pretty expensive.
