I'm looking for some good reliable free ware programs to tryout (windows)..

Wanna suggest any?

I'm looking for softsynths, samplers and drum machines (VST or standalone).
Reliable as in not prone to crash & virus free.
freeware, not trial (or limited time).

Currently running Cubase, Ableton (& Reason) so comparability is a bonus.

I don't use torrents or p2p so no point suggesting those.
