Answer
You have to assign the sound to it's own channel through the SS. You can youtube on how to assign a sound to it's own channel. Go to your SS, click on your sound and there will be a box that has the symbol -- in it. You just select 1, 2, etc. that's what channel it will be in on the mixer. After this you can add whatever FX you want to that specific sound. For further explanation hit me up on a PM.

Once you assign the snare to a mixer track as mentioned above put the fx in the slots on that mixer track. It should only affect the snare then.
