FL Studio Updating question

[Modus Operandi]

How do you use all of your files:samples,presets and etc after you update to a new version of FL? I finally caved in and got 11 but I've been using 10 for the longest and have the heftiest sample library. The only way I see to make these files appear in 11's browser is to copy the data folder from 10 to 11 but I don't wanna take up all of that space on my drive nor do I wanna overwrite the cool new stuff that may be in 11's folder...any ideaS?

I keep my sample library on a external hard drive never in the data folder of FL Studio
as well as my project files...are on a external hard drive separated by folders of the year and month it was made
for my plug-in folder and just copied and paste them into FL Studio 11 plug-in folder and ran the plug-in search in FL Studio
