FL Studio Sampling rate question

Hello,
recently I bought Creative X-Fi Titanium sound card for my PC. Now I have this problem. It freezes computer if I change sample rate to anything that is not 48kHZ. In other words it is locked to 48kHz. Is it bad thing? Is it a problem? When I go to settings in FL Studio and change rate to 48 kHz warning pops out and states that I do not change it only if absolutely necessary. So will I have problems if I produce in 48kHz instead of 41?

I can't see how that would be any problems for you! Unless you specifically want to produce in 44.1, then I might be a little concerned about it not changing. :P

Lots of people produce in 48khz or higher, including myself.
 
Why would you want to? It doesn't make for an audible difference.
