What is everyone's favorite hardware sequencer? Roland, Yamaha, Boss, Korg, etc??

Why do you like it and what are the primary types of music you are using the sequencer for?

Basically, did you get the best bang for the buck you paid?

Akai MPC 3000.

I like it because it does what I want it to do, exactly the way I envisioned it, and because it has a unique feel. I use it for R&B, pop, and hip-hop music mainly. Getting the MPC 3000 obviously had nothing to do with bang for buck... I paid $1900 for mine. But as the old saying goes... "you get what U pay for."

Another hardware sequencer I like, not nearly as much, but enough to mention it here, is the Yamaha QY 700. I got one just after they came out and I had a lot of fun with it. It even had onboard sounds.

QY-700 is King.

Yo!

Considered that it was a prodcut of 96 (or 97). It has so many nice features that still fulfil our today's needs. Own one for 2 months and learn more and more day after day. Did I forget to tell you QY-700 got a big blue screen that make Editing so fun and easy.

P.S Don't know why the guys in this forum not mentioned much about QY-700.
