I work with FL studio to make electronic and hip-hop beats. I want my electro beats to sound more professional and I mean this by have a little break in the beat (when the volume of the beat decreases and the pitch of the kick and snare get higher). I also want my instruments to fade a bit more better. I was wondering if pro-tools can help me accomplish this..

yes u can alot of big name artist use it Young Jeezy co-signs it all the time...and if all ur looking for ii just to change volume while song is playing u should read up on automation in the fl studio manual...u dont have to get pro tools to do that...i recommend doing it with a midi controller with faders..just map the controller to the faders then record and make adjustments as the song plays...u can also do this in the midi editing window using the pencil tool

The little break you are talking about is done with filters, or EQ. I personally use a EQ-band in reason, so I'm not sure what FL studio has, but regardless, it is simply a filter effect.

FL Studio can do all this and more. Learn what you got first, before wondering if the grass is greener somewhere else.

BTW, Pro Tools is used for recording/tracking, midi composition, and mixing.

Mastering is usually done with the stereo render of a song, not the multi-track. While you could use Pro Tools for this purpose, a 2 channel editor like SoundForge or WaveLab would do.

It's not what you use, but how you use it.
