Trouble recording in fl studio 10

im runnin the demo version of fl studio 10. when i go to record anything (drums, sample) it only lets me record 1 bar at a time and then it loops back over. how do i get it to let me lay down as many bars as i want?

Use the playlist, put one line where you want it to start, and one line where you want it to loop. If you want it to go 8 bars until it loops, put the second line 8 bars away from the first, do all this before you record, make sure its in song mode then record what you want.
