hey guys, so i watched this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S-feMkqzjOo&list=UU6zvER1Aix6B3UOVi7dl01A to get a better understanding of how to get better sounding drums. i wanted to use this technique to get a cool quick double kick and make snare rolls. The problem i am having tho is the snapping to a certain beat, such as 1/6 or 1/3. When i do this i select a note and shorten it like the video author does and then i use the paint brush to click and drag. what i get is some notes that are close together. and what i mean is when i use use either 1/6 beat or a 1/3 snap the notes after i drag them are the same distance, and the distance is quite small. so when i try this with hats i just get a really quick hat roll instead of the cool offbeat tempo that the author does. Does someone have an idea of what im doing wrong?
