Reason 6 Automation

Finally upgraded to R6 last night and Im curoius about automation with the SSL mixer. Still getting acquainted with the new features and how they work. Can you automate the SSL mixer, such as the built in effects (Compressor, EQ, Gate). ? Ive figured out the new automation system as far inserts, which now gets there on lane, but in R5 you just created a lane for the mixer, but the new system is still alien. Appreciate the help. Knee deep in the manual as we speak.

Most of it behaves exactly the same.

You need to experiment to find some values, especially the db scaling for the channel faders as the values go from 0 to 1000, 0db is somewhere around 700 from memory

rtm and experiment were the only paths to finding this stuff out when I jumped last year.....

Yes you are right, everything is the same, I have figured out the issue I was having. The shortcuts of creating a note lane for the mixer was just that a shortcut native for R5. Right click on any parameter and 'edit automation' is the original and proper way to automate, which is what I got away from. But Im back on track now. Thanks.

glad to hear it. Ill go back to my plan then for this weeks video.
