In FL Studio 5, say I set up 2 channels A and B. When I use the Cut/Cut By controls to have channel A cut channel B, it works fine. But when I set up a layer with channels A and B as children, then split them across the keyboard, they don't cut each other when I play them in the layer. They cut each other if I play them OUTSIDE of the layer, but not if I'm in the layer playing them split across the piano roll. Is there any way to get this to work? Thanks!

). Anyway, this issue is different. I have 2 different samples on 2 different channels. If I play them normally as 2 separate channels, then they cut each other fine. But if I combine them in a layer, split the layer across the keyboard, then play the samples that way, they no longer cut each other. I like doing it this way cuz then I can get all of my samples on a single piano roll. It makes laying down drums a lot easier than having separate piano rolls for each drum hit. Thanks anyway though.
