FL Problem

So I'm trying to make simple drum beats in FL loop record mode and am using an MPD 16.

So the beat keeps looping, but i can't get a drum beat on the '1' in a 4 bar beat.

(4 bar beat = 1, 2, 3, 4)

I dont know what's going on cause all of the other beats in the pattern register, but the 1 doesnt.

any ideas? I've tried it multiple times with different sounds and settings, but can't figure it out.

Maybe ur pushing before the countdown or somethin? man i dont know...i was planning on getting an MPD for cheap so id like to hear an answer to this...

I think its more a problem in FL (i'm using vers. 5 by the way).

I even have the metronome on, and i hit a kick on that 1 and nothing registers...very weird.

I figured it out after reading a million threads.

Its because I wasn't recording in the piano roll.
