    A few questions about FL.....

I am fairly new to computer recording and have just picked up a copy of FL Studio Producer Edition.

I have a few questions regarding the software.

I use a Radium 49 midi controller to play or should I say attempt to play what I want.

    1) When I play a sample with my Radium the sample stops when I release a key. However when I try to record that same sample into FL the sample continues to play until I hit another key. Is there anyway to get the sample to stop when I release the key?

    2) I tried to play a chord using one of the softsynths included with FL. However when I played it FL only records one of the keys instead of the 3 or 4 that I played. The only way I have been able to fix this is in the piano roll and add the keys. Anyway around that?

I know these may be some dumb questions but I am not that familiar with FL. Computer recording is fairly new to me as I have been recording a sequencing on a Korg Triton, ROland VS and MPC for the last few years.

I think that will be fixed by selecting "Cut Itself" somewhere. if ur asking what i think you are.

I have tried the cut iself option on the menu. It allows the loop to stop once another key is played. I want it to stop even if I dont play another key. When I let go I want the sample to stop.

What would you define as loaded. If your asking if it is loaded into FL then yes. It is a loop saved on my drive and I drag and dropped the sound into the step sequencere.

I also just discovered something else weird. With the same sample.. It is 1 bar long at 8 beats per. Now when I put this sample into the playlist once only it for some reason repeats itself a second time even if it doest show that it should be playing in the playlist.

    Am I making any sense?

turn your samples into a soundfont, with like recycle or something, that should fix your sample problem, in a soundfont, i stops where the note stops
