Faster Logic Pro work flow?

Its hard enough to layer your own drums, but I've had such a stressful time recently getting my sampletank drums into my exs. I usually resort into putting them in the audio bin first, but for some reason this is not working out at all for me and I dont even know what the hell is going on

can't you use sample tank as a plug-in? I don't see why you would need to put them into exs24, but I don't use sample tank so I could be wrong, but I"m sure you can use as a plug-in

well it makes layering drums a lot easier, because it eliminates the clutter of have numerous tracks out just to layer especially when I have separate tracks for each drum sound.
