are you kidding me? i buy a brand new sonar 4 producer edition in box on ebay for 250 bucks and now i can't use it because it says the evaluation period is over and i need a key?!?!?! i don't think there's anything to do i'm just going to vent it out on here. this sucks.

though i don't know nothing about sonars licensing sceme. maybe you have some keycode printed in the back of the manual. or somewhere in any form you got with the package?

this sucks so much. screw the seller, ripping off high school students. how would i know the evaluation one would be a time trial? and i had quite a bit of stuff saved too .

i dont know if i should contact cakewalk about this...they might not be too happy about their evaluation product being bought on ebay. maybe i should make up some bs about how the version i bought accidently is evaluation.

I'm not doubting you. I don't know how Sonar works, maybe you have to authorize the program?

There are programs that you have to register online and get an activation code. You may get a grace period of a week or month or so until you have to activate but eventually you'll have to activate the program. This is with retail versions of programs, not trials.

If you received a box and manuals, check out the manuals for info. Usually there's a card that comes with the program with the info that you need regarding registration.

If the above is not the case, you will want to contact ebay to get the matter resolved and gave the seller refund you your money if needed.

I suggest your take your picture down or edit it. You have your serial number out in the open for all to see which is not wise to do.

I edited your link out of your post. Feel free to post it back up once you edit your serial number out.

If they have a reason to be mad at someone, it's the seller, not you. As Sleepy said, if you don't have the required items/info to activate the product, try to resolve this by contacting the appropriate places and tell them straight what happened. "Making up some bs" instead will only make you look suspicious
