This is the one area I can't really recommend Studio One in yet. Studio One is very fun to work with hardware effects (with Pipline, you can essentially treat outboard gear like a VST- minus the total recall)... but with hardware synths... S1 doesn't have a Patch Management system built-in yet.
In the inspector, you can access the Bank & Program numbers to select the patch, but first you have to do the math (128 x MSB or whatever..... i forgot the formula, i have it written down). After you get those numbers... there's no way to even save it. If you're changing banks, you have to have the bank number calculation written down somewhere. You can scroll through the patch numbers after that. But if you want the name of your patch... you gotta have your synth's manual handy.
This is my biggest gripe. Not a deal breaker for me.... but it's a big deal breaker if you extensively use hardware sound modules. It's a pain. I've been pushing them to add this for a while now... hopefully he gets implemented. Then i'll be in true DAW heaven.
