REAPER is a good place to start, its available for mac and windows and you can try out the fully working demo for as long as you want.

All of the main ones should be able to handle the Korg: Pro-Tools, Logic, FL, Reaper, Sonar, Cubase, etc. If you look around the site there are a gang of threads debating the best DAWs, and what most people say is that choose that works best for you. Some DAWs are really good with in the box stuff, others really good with hardware. The reason I asked is because Yahama's stuff works best with Cubase (I have a motif). Like rayzer said, many companies have demo versions that you can download and try yourself for a limited time. Also, since your a Korg person I would recommend you get the Legacy Collection VST (although you may already have all the sounds on your M3 already). Hopes this helps!

i dont use any of the gear listed above apart from FL & reaper so i cant give you recommendations on them. all i can say is that in my own experience ive found FL to be troublesome when recording external sources like mics and some hardware inputs. unless you have a soundcard that supports asio or use asio4all youre pretty much screwed (open to correction).
thats why i recommended reaper instead since it doesnt need asio to record unless you choose to. another alternative is to keep FL to make your beats and use audacity to record external audio then import it to FL.
