    Changing Acapellas BPMs

    What's Good,

So, I've got an acapella that I'd like to slow down a bit... But I'm finding it extremely difficult to do so.

I first tried it in Pro Tools. Imported the track, looked around, couldn't find anything... Then I went and did some research online. I guess you can do it, but I don't have the Time Shift feature needed to do so. Which is weird, because I have 7.3.1, and I think it says it comes with that... But I went into the "AudioSuite" tab, and could only find Pitch Shift... Anyway, if anyone knows what I'm doing wrong, or where to find it in there, let me know...

Second, I put it in ReCycle. Now, ReCycle, so far I'm not a big fan of the program. It's very difficult to use. It wasn't calcuting the Bars of the acapella right, so there for the original BPM was off, and it just wouldn't work from there...

So, question, how do you guys go about changing the BPMs of acapellas for your remix's? What programs do you guys use? And if you use Pro Tools or ReCycle, fill me in on how to find the bars, and alter the BPMs...

Merry Christmas, and thanks in advance...

    Escobar

That will work great for you.

But if you have Pro Tools, use the Elastic Time feature, which I think was introduced in 7.3; if not it was 7.4. But this make it just as easy as doing it in Live.

Recycle doesn't know the BPM of anything unless you tell it how many beats and bars there are. Recycle isn't meant for full songs. It's meant chops and slices.
