Acid 6.0 Midi Controller Note Velocity

How do I set up acid to ignore note velocity when I press a key on my midi controller? I want all notes to play at the same velocity.

Edit: I figured it out. You go under the input filters within the track properties and enable the velocity filter.

Now what I'm trying to figure out is how to make midi notes cut eachother (release when another note is played) on a midi track once I record it.

Anyone know how to do that?
