Nobody knows more than the info on the Ableton site. They're betatesting openly, and it shouldn't take long now. Read the beta forum on the site, they have Release Candidates coming out now.

I do enjoy discussing Live as it's my main tool nowadays. They just released the twentieth beta version of v6 yesterday on the Ableton site, and that beta is the third release candidate version. It looks like the final version might indeed be out this week, still making it September with a bit of luck. If not, I think it's almost certain it'll appear next week.
